Introduction

Door to Gehenna is a solo horror TTRPG about a Jewish folk tale of sin and the punishment lurking behind every forbidden door. This game is presented as a small video game to facilitate solo play. The game offers a new retelling of the folk tale and includes a mechanic inspired by the magical revolving door in Howl's Moving Castle.

You are roleplaying as a Steward in a rich man's mansion whose wife has been trapped in Gehenna, the place where the souls of the wicked are punished and purified; the equivalent of Hell in Jewish legend. The rich man tasks you to save the wife from perishing in Gehenna.

This game is inspired by a 13th century Jewish folk tale from France called "Door to Gehenna" as presented in Lillith's Cave by Howard Schwartz.

Do I have to be Jewish to play?

No! This game is intended for all audiences, Jewish or not.
